ENEFI could pay HUF 700 mln in back taxes

Hungarian Tax and Customs Authority launched a collection procedure against energy service provider ENEFI on the request of the Romanian Tax Authority, ENEFI announced on the website of the Budapest Stock Exchange (BSE) yesterday.

Earlier, the BSE said it had suspended trade in the shares and bonds of energy service provider Enefi at the issuer's request, from 3pm Friday until the end of trading on Tuesday.

The authorities are seeking more than HUF 687 mln in back taxes from ENEFI, but the company said it would appeal the procedure.
