Romania-based cable service provider Digi is preparing an entry to Hungary’s mobile telco market by offering its own network from spring, Hungarian economic daily Világgazdaság reported Monday, citing information from Digi.

The company is preparing to offer clients mobile voice and data services “of a level of quality and price-to-value ratio similar to services it already offers” with its own nationwide network, Hungarian news agency MTI cited the paper as reporting.

As required by law, Magyar Telekom is negotiating with Digi on sharing MTel’s free cell tower capacity at Digi’s request, MTel CFO János Szabó told the Hungarian paper.
