Telco Digi Távközlési and mobile company Vodafone Magyarország have submitted bids at a tender for licenses in the 3,400-3,800 MHz frequency band, Hungaryʼs National Media and Infocommunications Authority (NMHH) said yesterday, according to Hungarian news agency MTI.

Both bids met formal requirements, the authority said, adding that the result could be announced within a few weeks.

The licenses are valid until 2034.

Fifteen-year licenses for the frequencies in the lower half of the band expire at the end of June, the NMHH said when it published the tender on April 12, noting demand for unused frequencies in the top half of the band.

The frequencies may be used for broadband mobile data services.
