The Danubius Hotels Group has announced a partnership with the United Networks of International Corporate Event Organizers (UNICEO), a further step in enhancing its recognition as a leading company in the MICE (meetings, incentives, conferencing, exhibitions) segment in Hungary, according to a press statement sent to the Budapest Business Journal.

The Danubius Hotels Group will now begin to actively cooperate in UNICEO projects which aim to promote the exchange of professional experiences and know-how among members. Danubius will also become a national partner and provide support for the activities of the non-profit association based in Geneva.

The agreement will help Danubius strengthen its position in the MICE segment, a strategic priority for the hotel company, as UNICEO is the only international association of senior managers responsible for decision-making for the corporate events of major international companies, said the press release.

Danubius currently has 43 hotels with special facilities and equipment for hosting all kinds of corporate events in all of its different brands, as well as a team of professional specialists in the MICE segment to provide personalized service anywhere in the world, the press release added.

“This agreement with UNICEO enables us to promote to and directly influence UNICEO members and show the continuous renovations, developments and innovations Danubius has to offer. We are convinced that this partnership will contribute to the development of domestic conference and corporate events in our hotels,” Balázs Kovács, vice president for sales and marketing of Danubius, said during the signing ceremony at Hilton Budapest.

“We are delighted that Danubius Hotels Group has become one of our national partners,” said Mónika Mantuano, vice president of UNICEO Hungary and commercial marketing manager at HP. “It is one of Hungary´s leading hotel chains and therefore of high interest to all our members.”
