Daimler considers expansion in Hungary
German car manufacturer Daimler is planning to expand its activities in Hungary, state secretary for economic diplomacy Levente Magyar told Hungarian news agency MTI in Stuttgart late yesterday.
"Serious talks are underway," Magyar said, commenting on the planned capacity expansion and technological developments at its Hungarian base in Kecskemét. He added that the investment being discussed would be carried out in several phases over one to two years.
Daimler is "extremely satisfied" with the performance of its Hungarian base, Magyar noted.
