A fund managed by Sandor Csányiʼs Singapore-based CSAM Asset Management bought shares in OTP Bank and oil and gas company MOL for the third trading day in a row on Tuesday, disclosures released yesterday show.

Csányi is the chairman-CEO of OTP Bank and the deputy-chairman of MOL, as such, the companies are required to disclose when he, or entities he controls, acquire their shares.

OTP Bank said yesterday that the Sertorius Global Opportunities Fund, managed by CSAM Asset Management, acquired 200,000 OTP shares at an average price of HUF 6,483 on the Budapest Stock Exchange (BSE) on Tuesday. The fundʼs stake in the bank reached 925,000 shares, or 0.33% of share capital, after the transaction.

The stake in the bank directly owned by Csányi remained unchanged, OTP noted.

In a separate announcement, MOL said Sertorius had bought 40,000 MOL shares on the BSE at an average price of HUF 15,399 on Tuesday. Sertoriusʼ holding rose to 185,000 shares as a result, it added.

The shares account for 0.18% of MOLʼs share capital.

The number of MOL shares Csányi directly owns remained at 9,500, it added.

Sertorius bought shares of MOL on Friday and Monday, as well.
