Construction companiesʼ views of their output in the previous period worsened but their assessment of order stock was more positive.

Trade companiesʼ assessment of their selling position deteriorated while they were more positive about inventories and prospective orders.

Companies in the service sector gave more negative views of business in general but more positive turnover expectations.

The consumer confidence index rose to -21.1 points in April from -23.8 points in March. Householdsʼ outlook concerning their financial position improved though their expectations of their ability to put away savings worsened.

The seasonally-adjusted GKI index is supported with European Union funding.
