Business chamber urges Hungarian government to mandate it with company registration

The Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MKIK) is proposing that the government mandate it, instead of the company court, with company registration, chairman László Parragh told Hungarian news agency MTI today.
Parragh said the activity is just like any other administrative procedure and involves little real judicial function. Business chambers handle company registration in a number of other developed countries, as well, he added.
Since 2012, Hungarian companies have been required by law to register with their local chamber of commerce and pay an annual registration fee.
