Austrian ADA winds up HUF 1 bln plant in Hungary

Austrian ADA group yesterday completed the construction of a HUF 1 bln mattress plant in Zalaegerszeg, western Hungary, which currently employs 118 people and exports most of its output, Hungarian news agency MTI reported late yesterday.

Managing director Michael Kock noted that ADA group has been present in the Hungary since 1992, and built its first plant in Körmend, western Hungary, before buying and expanding an upholstery factory in Nova, near Körmend, in 2002.

The group currently has a headcount of 1,250 people in Hungary, the managing director said.
