ANY H1 profit up 37% on rising revenues

First-half net income of Hungarian security printing company ANY Biztonsági Nyomda rose 37% year-on-year to HUF 891 million on higher sales and an improved margin, an earnings report published late yesterday shows, according to Hungarian news agency MTI.

Net sales climbed 13% to HUF 11.7 billion. The direct cost of sales increased at a slower pace, rising just 11% to HUF 8.0 bln, and lifting gross profit by almost 20% to HUF 3.7 bln. 

Operating profit was up 42% at HUF 1.1 bln. 

ANY noted that turnover from card production and personalization grew 49% to HUF 3.0 bln.
