Aluinvent expands aluminium foam panel plant in Hungary

Hungarian Aluinvent is expanding its aluminum foam panel production plant in Felsőzsolca, northeastern Hungary, through an investment of HUF 500 mln, technological manager Norbert Babcsán said on Thursday, according to Hungarian news agency MTI.

The investment is being supported with a HUF 370 mln grant from a Norwegian fund which supports green industry innovation.

After the capacity expansion is complete, the workforce at the plant is expected to rise from 16 to 30, while annual production capacity is foreseen to rise from 30 tons to 1,000 tons as of the beginning of 2016. Production is currently in the trial phase.
