AAA Auto Hungary’s used car sales grow

Automotive

Used car sales of Czech-based trader AAA Auto peaked in the September-October period at 8,500, rising from 6,300 recorded in the equivalent period a year earlier, based on in-house data for sales across its international network of over 40 dealerships and outlets, according to a press statement sent to the Budapest Business Journal.

AAA Auto’s data for the peak period this year also showed that the average price for used cars sold in Hungary across its branches was HUF 1,640,000, versus HUF 2,150,000 on average for the same period across the entire group. The peak period also saw an increase in demand for heated seats, with 71% more Hungarian customers wanting this option in 2016 versus 2015.

“The European used car market has two peaks – spring and autumn. The autumn peak is caused by customers looking to buy a new car after the holidays and before winter. In Hungary this peak comes in September and October, but sales tend to remain stronger afterwards in Hungary than they do in other AAA Auto markets,” said Karolína Topolová, CEO of AAA Auto International.
