All the five-day and seven-day passes have been sold out for Budapest’s internationally-known Sziget Festival, which organizers say is a milestone in the history of the event, according to a press release issued today. Day tickets are still available.

Setting a record in terms of nationalities signing up for the event, based on the ticket sales organizers said they expect participants of the festival from a total of 102 countries.

“ The year of 2016 is clearly a record-breaking year for us. We’ve never sold so many tickets so quickly, which is good for the company as well. Besides working as hard as we can, we’re also very proud of the fact that fans from all over the world trust us and join us for this magic week,” said Tamás Kádár, CEO of Sziget Cultural Management. “Of course we’re also happy to welcome visitors with day tickets, but I would like to urge everybody not to leave buying these at the last moment, because the quantity is limited.”
