Sziget Festival expects record turnout

Initiatives

With nearly 90% of all Sziget passes pre-sold, organizers of the Budapest festival expect a record breaking turnout this year for what is already considered one of the largest festivals in the region, according to a press release issued today.

The passes for the seven-day festival, held August 10-17, have been purchased from 95 countries to date. The Sziget is one of the best-known festivals in Hungary, and has become internationally recognized since its launch more than 20 years ago, according to the press release.

Festival-goers will have full access to a wide variety of music programs from mainstream rock and pop to folk, to classical and opera as well as non-musical programs, such as circus, theater, and dance performances, and art exhibits.
