Tourism

Spanish airline Iberia has announced that it will be flying from Budapest to Spain on a daily basis in the 2017 summer season, according to a press statement sent to the Budapest Business Journal by Ferenc Liszt International Airport operator Budapest Airport.

Next summer will be the third in a row that Iberia will have returned to Hungary with its Madrid-Budapest route, the press statement says. In response to growing demand, Iberia has decided to increase the number of flights from Budapest by 27%.

The route will be launched in April, initially with flights twice a week, increasing to daily during the peak summer season. By the end of the season, in September and October, three flights a week will be operating on the route.

With transfer possibilities in Madrid, Iberia will provide travelers with many more Spanish destinations, such as Tenerife, Las Palmas, the Canaries and also Vigo in Galicia, the press release says.
