Zsolnay Gin Awarded at Great Taste Awards in London

Zsolnay Gin was awarded two gold stars at an international food industry competition held in London.

"We are extremely happy with the result. We believed that the ingredients, due to the spices found in Mecsek, would suit Hungarian tastes the most, but it turns out that it holds its own on an international level as well," shares the creator of Búzavirág gin, Péter Bárány.

The international, 400-member professional jury of the Great Taste Awards had their first taste of the Hungarian Zsolnay gin for the first time at the awards ceremony. Although the judges were not influenced by the appearance, as the item was tasted without showing the packaging, the global brand and the drink's creators are very proud of the result achieved.

Until now, the uniquely packaged drink was often only available at airports, in high-quality restaurants frequented by tourists, and in bars of five-star hotels. However, according to a press release issued by the company, “[the acquisition of] the prize strengthened the brand owners' intention to export.
