First Motorcycle Wine Route Rally to roll on June 3

Based on the concept of the Hungarian Wine Route Rally (Magyar Borok Útja Rallye) the first Motorcycle Wine Route Rally will roll off the horse track at Kincsem Park on June 3 on route to the Hungarian wine regions of Mátra and Eger, according to a press release issued yesterday.

Participants will ride the latest Vespa models, on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the brand, the press statement said. Approximately 50 riders are expected to take part in the 400-km journey. 

Motorists on the rally will be guided by police and the OxyTeam, a country-wide sports ambulance service, to ensure their safety.

During the two-day rally, participants will visit ten wineries, including Kovács Borház, Nandi Magdi Borászat, Molnár és Fiai Pincészet, Pálinkás Pincészet, Nyilas Pincészet, Dubicz Borászat és Szőlőbirtok, Gróf Buttler Borászat, Holdvölgy, and the Basilicus.

The rally will be overseen by Minister of Interior Sándor Pintér and Minister of Agriculture Sándor Fazekas.
