The Budapest Transport Company (BKV) reduced its workforce by 346 employees by the end of the second quarter of 2016 compared to the beginning of the year, Hungarian portal mfor.hu reported this morning, based on data published by the transport company.

Layoffs have taken place chiefly among full-time workers, the portal noted. The press office of the transport company told the portal that the number of workers at the company has been reduced primarily due to the drop in performance of a new bus operating model. The press office added that layoffs took place mainly in the arm responsible for bus operations.
