Budapest hosts Bocuse dʼOr continental selection
The continental selection of the Bocuse dʼOr international gastronomy contest began in Budapest yesterday, in the framework of the Sirha food and catering exhibition at Hungexpo, Hungarian news agency MTI reported.

Organizers expect the contest to raise the profile of the capital, which is already on the global culinary map, Budapest deputy-mayor Alexandra Szalay-Bobrovniczky said at the event, according to reports.
The Sirha exhibition showcases more than 350 exhibitors from 19 countries.
Organizers expect the number of professionals visiting the exhibition to exceed 20,000. The exhibition started on May 9 and will end today.
