Budapest hosts 37th National Wine Contest

Budapest is hosting the 37th National Wine Contest today and tomorrow, during which approximately 500 wines will compete for top prize, Ottó Légli, head of winegrowers association HNT, told Hungarian news agency MTI.

Csaba Koch, who chairs the organization committee of the contest, said 467 wines are competing at this yearʼs contest, 15% more than last year, according to MTI. 

Légli noted that the strategic partner for this yearʼs contest is the local unit of U.K.-based supermarket chain Tesco.
