Budapest Airport allots more parking spaces

City

The parking lot of Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport is being expanded with an additional 1,000 parking spaces, to accommodate the increasing number of passengers coming through the facility, operator Budapest Airport announced today in a press release.

The expansion of the parking lot is expected to be wound up by the summer, as the airport anticipates a record amount of passenger traffic in the upcoming summer months, the press statement said.

“In 2015 more than one million of our passengers decided to park their cars in the airport’s parking lot while they were traveling away by plane from the airport,” Manel Moreno head of commercial landside services at Budapest Airport commented.
