BUX extends losses in morning, falls with peers

The Budapest Stock Exchange's main BUX index fell 1.06% to 22,440.39 at noon on Friday, extending losses after opening down 0.17%, and falling along with Western European and CEE share indices.

OTP Bank dropped 2.34% to HUF 5,225, oil and gas company MOL lost 1.36% to HUF 19,900 and Magyar Telekom fell 0.58% to HUF 682. Drug maker Richter was the only blue chip to gain, advancing 0.24% to HUF 45,130.

Share turnover amounted to HUF 2.639 billion for the morning.

Major European shares were all down, with London's FTSE falling 0.45%, Frankfurt's DAX losing 0.57% and the CAC-40 in Paris dropping 0.83%.

Elsewhere in the CEE region, Warsaw's WIG-20 fell 0.60% and Prague's PX-50 lost 1.35%. (MTI-ECONEWS)
