National laboratory for data-driven health established
Data can save lives, so there is a need for cleaner, more structured, more accessible data, which is why the National Laboratory for Data-Driven Health was established. The overall goal is to support a paradigm shift in health and the healthcare industry, says Miklós Szócska, Semmelweis University director of the Health Management Center at the IME National Health Infocommunication Conference, according to business daily Világgazdaság,
Szócska added that there would soon be a more data-intensive healthcare toolbox in the pockets of doctors and researchers next to the patient's bed.
In the long run, the data laboratory builds on the interdisciplinary collaboration of Hungarian professional workshops, namely the storage, analysis, and development of massive databases.
In a broader sense, the project contributes to the World Health Organization and UN Sustainable Development Goals and the European Union's 2030 targets, and the need to introduce safe, flexible, innovative solutions.
