BFK developing regional cycling strategy
The Budapest Development Center (BFK) is working on a regional cycling development strategy to achieve better cycling in the capital, said Dávid Vitézy, CEO of BFK, at a conference in Budapest yesterday, according to napi.hu.
Vitézy pointed out that the population of the agglomeration is growing rapidly, and the number of inhabitants in the Budapest urban area may increase by about 440,000 by 2040.
He emphasized that the strategy aims to improve the conditions for cycling in the agglomeration so that people living in it can safely approach the nearest railway or bus station by bicycle.
BFK's regional cycling strategy is based on the Budapest agglomeration railway strategy.
