MOME Launching Reforestation Program
The Moholy-Nagy University of Arts (MOME) is launching a reforestation program in cooperation with three national parks; the strategic agreement on the project was signed in Budapest, according to profitline.hu.
Gergely Böszörményi-Nagy, chairman of the board of trustees of the MOME Foundation and the project's originator, highlighted at the event that climate change would fundamentally affect Hungary's image, everyday life, and opportunities in the coming decades.
He noted that water management and agricultural conditions would change, with it the ability to be self-sufficient.
Species of animals and plants will disappear from the flora and fauna, and new ones will appear, and this process must be understood and interpreted by the next generations, Gen Z and the next Alpha generation, he added.
He noted, "what we are doing is [...] a unique undertaking among Hungarian higher education institutions."
