Weather

The number of disaster relief alerts continued to rise last week, according to profitline.hu.

Many places are currently working to deal with the storm damage caused by Friday's thunderstorm, said Dániel Mukics, a spokesman for the National Directorate General for Disaster Management (OKF).

Mukics added that firefighters had already been alerted to more than 150 cases, most in Budapest, Komárom-Esztergom, and Baranya counties.

The roofs of dozens of properties in Sellye (240 km southwest of Budapest), Baranya County, were damaged by stormy winds and hail.
