Farmers Expect Better Pear Harvest

Farmers expect this year's harvest will be better than last year's drought year, but will not reach the average level, according to the overview of the National Chamber of Agriculture (NAK) and the Hungarian Fruit and Vegetable Association (FruitVeB), writes profitline.hu.
An increased amount of pears are being grown on nearly 2,000 hectares of farmland in Hungary.
More than 4,000 pear varieties are known worldwide, many of which are grown in Hungary, including summer, fall and winter pears.
