OTP inaugurates AI supercomputer module

OTP Bank on Monday inaugurated the first independent module of a HUF 7.3bn supercomputer that will use artificial intelligence to manage the lender's telephone customer service, according to a report by state news wire MTI.
The Innovation and Technology Ministry is supporting the three-year investment with HUF 2.5bn of grant money.
OTP Bank chairman-CEO Sándor Csányi said the supercomputer and the cooperation agreement with the ministry to advance digital developments are "important milestones".
Innovation and Technology Minister László Palkovics said the public and private spheres need a "continuous and close cooperation" if Hungary is to reach its 2030 competitiveness goals.
