A startup incubation program called "Fintech Factory" has been launched, in which MKB Bank will invest HUF 342 million in 10 startups, writes portfolio.hu.

Although the market is saturated in many respects, a financial institution can really develop if it is open to external innovations and new ideas, said Zoltán Ács, innovation manager of MKB Fintechlab.

"We need to build a financial technology ecosystem around the bank, featuring fintechs and other digital companies, as well as university students, the talents of the future, and move it skillfully according to the bank's needs," Ács said.

He also highlighted a course at Corvinus University in Budapest, and a partnership program, which helps to integrate external technological solutions into banking processes.
