New Car Registrations in Hungary Slip 3% in September

The number of new passenger car registrations in Hungary fell 3.1% year-on-year to 9,123 in September, news agency MTI reports, citing data compiled by the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA).

Hybrid electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles accounted for 51% of sales. Cars with gasoline engines made up 33pc of sales and vehicles with diesel engines 11%.

Fully-electric vehicles accounted for 5% of sales.

For the period January-September, new car registrations dropped 3.2% to 83,009.
