About 40,000 tickets sold for F1 Rolex Hungarian GP

About 40,000 tickets have been sold for the F1 Rolex Hungarian Grand Prix, Zsolt Gyulay, who heads the company that operates the Hungaroring racetrack on the outskirts of Budapest, said on Monday.
Foreign fans, mainly from the Netherlands, Austria, Germany, and Italy, account for about 70% of pre-race sales, Gyulay said.
The 36th Formula 1 Rolex Hungarian Grand Prix program will start with practice on Friday morning and finish with the 70-lap race on Sunday afternoon.
Last year's contest was held behind closed doors because of the pandemic. This year, spectators with immunity certificates will be in the stands.
Gyulay said the Hungaroring racetrack would undergo a renovation after the 2022 Grand Prix.
