Hungary PMI Edges Down to 51.8 in April

Hungary's seasonally-adjusted Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) reached 51.8 points in April, slipping from 52.2 points in the previous month, the Hungarian Association of Logistics, Purchasing and Inventory Management (Halpim) said on Thursday, according to a report by state news wire MTI.
The PMI stayed over the 50-point threshold that signals expansion in the manufacturing sector.
Among the PMI sub-indices, the new orders index rose and was over the 50-point mark.
The production volume index fell but was over 50.
The employment index increased but still indicated a contraction.
The delivery times index fell.
The gauge of purchased inventories increased and was back over the 50-point mark.
