Duna House Points to Rebound in Q2

Commissions revenue of Duna House's franchise network fell 22% year-on-year to HUF 3.2 billion in the second quarter, but the listed real estate broker said quarter-on-quarter growth of 19% signaled a turnaround in a preliminary report published late Monday.

Commissions volume in Hungary dropped 28% to HUF 2.1 bln because of higher interest rates and a decline in purchasing power. In a quarter-on-quarter basis, however, commission volume was up 18%.

In Poland, commission volume rose 4% year-on-year, to HUF 0.9 bln, and was up 25% quarter-on-quarter.

Commissions revenue of Duna House's recently acquired Realizza brand in Italy reached HUF 0.1 bln, a 25% year-on-year decline, but a 26% increase quarter-on-quarter.

Commissions revenue of Duna House's own offices slipped 32% year-on-year to HUF 0.4 bln.

Brokered loan volume of the group fell 32% to HUF 166 bln. Brokered loan volume reached HUF 99 bln in Italy, HUF 50 bln in Poland, and HUF 17 bln in Hungary.
