The new tariff system for Hungarian intercity transport will start on March 1, the MÁV-Volán group said in a statement released last week.

The essence of the historic change in public transport is that it makes the MÁV-Volán routes cheaper, easier and more accessible for 3.5-4 million people, even those in Budapest, Zalaegerszeg, and Esztergom.

All this can result in savings of tens of thousands of forints per month for families.

In order to make the most important information available to everyone, the MÁV-Volán group launched an information website, which is available to everyone since last week.
