Industrial Production Falls in November
The volume of industrial production dropped by 5.8% year-on-year in November 2023, according to data by the Central Statistical Office (KSH). Based on working-day-adjusted data, production declined by 5.6%.
Production volume fell in the great majority of the manufacturing subsections, KSH noted.
Output increased in two subsections only: in the manufacture of coke, and refined petroleum products, as well as in that of chemicals and chemical products.
Industrial output in November – according to seasonally and working-day adjusted indices – was 2.3% below the level registered in October.
In the first 11 months of the year, industrial production was about 4.8% lower than in the same period of 2022.
