The share of domestic products in public catering will increase, according to business daily Világgazdaság.

The main goal of a government decree on public catering is to improve the quality of public catering, said Norbert Erdős, Secretary of State for Food Chain Supervision.

According to the provision, at least 60% of domestic products must be used in public catering from 2022, which will allow high-quality food made from domestic food to reach the table of consumers, he added.

From 2023, this rate should be increased to 80%, which will provide adequate preparation time for the transition of supply chains and kitchens.
